About Carla

carlaCarla Palmer is a health care consultant with 25 years of experience working in small to large organizations. She is currently taking on roles in organization development and transition, strategic planning, proposal writing and community engagement.

Carla received her Master of Science Degree in Health Policy and Planning from the University of British Columbia after which she was awarded the Management Fellowship at the Juan de Fuca Hospitals in Victoria B.C. Her ongoing training has included Strategy Mapping/Balanced Scorecard, Collaboration, Facilitation and the Science of Improvement. In addition, she has given numerous presentations at national and international conferences relating to organization leadership at times of uncertainty, effectiveness and efficiency, and chronic disease prevention and management.

Carla serves on the Board of Directors of a Community Health Centre, and is an active observer and advocate around municipal issues. Outside of professional interests, she enjoys activities with family and friends, travel, reading, hiking and sports where she is trying to lower her handicap in golf and numbers of unforced errors in tennis.
